Being invited into the sacred space of birth is always an honor for me as I support women and their partners through the intuitive process of labour, birth and their initiation into parenthood.  

As your doula, I see myself as a companion on your birth journey.  I have witnessed birth unfold in many ways and hold no judgment to how you experience your rite of passage. I hold the space for you to access your intuitive birthing wisdom.  As your birth unfolds, so do you as parents.

The role of the father or partner is a profound part of the birth that I do not try to replace; I am here to support both of you in this process. Many partners find comfort in knowing that their most important role is to love the birthing woman.  The love that she feels will aid her in giving birth.  The more supported the woman feels, the more positive her birth experience will be.

The immediate postpartum period is a significant time of transition for you and your family . I honor the experience that you have just been through and support you as you get to know your baby and find your way in your new relationship.  I look forward to meeting you again in a Soulful Mamas circle to witness the woman and mother you are blossoming into.

MY CARE INCLUDES:
  Two prenatal home visits.
On going phone and email support
On- call 24 hours a day from the 38th week of pregnancy
Support during the labour, birth and immediate postpartum
Access to birth ball, heat pack, massage oils, and lending library of books and videos
Breastfeeding support from birth onwards
Two postpartum visits

My fee for doula care is $700.00

In the event that I am unable to attend your birth, I work with an amazing woman, Kristin Lang who will come as my replacement. Since 1994, Kristin has been a massage therapist and became a certified birth doula in 2002. Her passion is to inspire women to find their own truth and wisdom within so they can approach pregnancy, birth and motherhood with more confidence. She is also a certified prenatal and postpartum yoga instructor and has two beautiful children. We offer a meet the doula night where you can have an opportunity to meet with both of us.
